Stronger Families Inside Out (delivered in partnership with Families Outside).

Stronger Families Inside Out is a project delivered by the Denis Law Legacy Trust through their flagship Streetsport initiative in partnership with the Scottish Prison Service; Families Outside and funded by Children in Need.

The project has 3 key aims:

  1. To enhance relationships between inmates and family members who participate in prison visits.
  2. To encourage participants to engage in extra-curricular activity within their own communities.
  3. To provide young people who participate in prison visits aged 16+ with volunteering opportunities that develop employability skills.

Our Streetsport Outreach Coordinators help facilitate positive interaction amongst family members affording quality time to bond and build relationships.

The project is partly delivered on location and during prison visit sessions through the facilitation of a variety of sports, games and other creative activities and correspondingly with Streetsport activity sessions across a variety of communities within Aberdeen city.
